What’s wrong with getting the tzitzit wes? If haven’t had any problem with that, and sometimes the tzitzis would use a bit of water. The main thing is that they don’t get tangled, which can be disastrous.

Then drying it with the tzitzis wrapped in a sock or washcloth. best is a dryer with a shelf for wool, so that you fold it flat and let it dry that way
