Tallit Tips: Blue & Gold Tallit or Black & Gold Tallit

Gold pinstripes can enhance the look of a tallit dramatically. Two of our most popular traditional wool tallitot are the Prima A.A. Tallit with black and gold stripes and the Prima A.A. Tallit with blue and gold stripes. The latter option is also a good choice for those who want a tallit with techelet tzitzit.

Both of these tallitot come with the Tzitzit Blessing embroidered on the atara (neckband). The Prima A.A. is a high-quality 100% wool tallit made at Mishkan Hatchelet’s Be’er Sheva manufacturing center. If you order the standard machine-spun thin tzitzit, Mishkan Hatchelet ties them on the tallit, but if you have a special request, such as thick tzitzit, techelet tzitzit, Sephardic tying, etc., we tie the tzitzit in-house. Both the black and gold tallit and the blue and gold tallit come with an option to include a matching wool tallit bag for just $12.50.

Another option is the striking solid black and gold tallit by Gabrieli Hand Weaving. Made at their weaving studio in Rechovot, it can be made of either wool, cotton or silk. The wool is made of a thick yarn that lends the fabric a special texture. The cotton and silk are finer, the main difference being that the silk has more sheen. This tallit comes as a set with a matching bag and an option for a matching kippah.

Gabrieli also makes a royal blue tallit with black and gold striping, as well as a more traditional-looking tallit on a white base with blue and gold striping.
